This program consists of three training programs: OJT through work, OFF-JT away from work, and self-development such as distance education. The OFF-JT program is divided into assembly training and self-training (e-learning), and is conducted both in-house and for partners throughout the year based on level, job and topic.

I joined the company after completing a masters degree, but it was a decision made after agonizing over whether or not to go for a doctoral degree. However, I was not able to forget my dream of getting a doctorate, and I requested my company let me try for the doctorate program while continuing to work. To my delight the company approved, and even told me about the scholarship support system, so now I am attending university. I am grateful to be able pursue truth from my academic interest by conducting basic experiments which I cannot experience in my work. I hope to expand the extensive knowledge obtained from the classes in university to my daily work. I would like to devote my time to my research in order to get my doctorate and also contribute to the company and society by developing valuable products.

I completed 4 types of courses during the new recruits training period in the Tochigi Segment. I acquired the ability of managing time outside of work during the training period, and was able to study at my own pace. I deeply felt the importance of acquiring "Basic skills required to be a member of society" in the basic manners course for members of society, which is the origin of "Yutori education" (flexible education). As I am involved in development work, I think that among the "Basic skills required to be a member of society," it is necessary to cultivate the ability to think, especially creativity, so I want the company to increase the number of courses where we can describe our own ideas in the answers.

I learned planning and proposal abilities in the correspondence course for mid-level employees. In order to implement the acquired knowledge in practical use, I tried to visualize the suggestions, which were left in the form of documents or the cases, using the in-house proposal system ("Watashi no Teian/My proposal"). Evaluation was conducted each time, so the proposal system became more and more enjoyable. I acquired time management abilities by finishing the problems in the limited time. I think the training given by external agency provided totally different stimulation than the in-house training, and that it helped me become closer to what society requires in an employee.

Utilization of the E-learning System

E-learning means independent study through a communication network using information technology. It features course material that can be accessed with any computer. It is a method which does not require gathering at one place at the same time, and instead allows you to study anytime, any place. On the other hand, it is a method in which it can be difficult to maintain motivation.

I worked as a member of the company’s education board for 2 years and studied bookkeeping on my own. I made time during my work hours and completed 5 types of courses. It made me realize that "Compliance for CSR practice" and "Company figures" were especially important information for my work. There are also some sections that cannot be understood only through computer lectures, so it would be a great help if there is an opportunity to follow up in group training. Moreover, the training can be a catalyst for self-development of employees, so I have high expectations for the enhancement of the human resources training program that will support the future of the company.
